Our way of working
7DROPS uses the following tests, hardware and software to evaluate your blood sample.
Our technology is based on a multiplex ELISA-based test. Multiplex means that our hardware systems can process multiple samples in a single analytical run. ELISASteht für “enzyme-linked immunosorbend assay”. Es handelt sich um einen immunchemischen Schnelltest, bei dem ein Enzym (Protein zur Katalyse einer biochemischen Reaktion) und ein Antikörper oder Antigen (immunologische Moleküle) verwendet werden. stands for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and refers to the involvement of enzymes (a protein that triggers biochemical reactions) and antibodies/antigens in the test procedure.
Simply put, our technology can process a large amount of samples at once, which not only saves time, but also allows us to offer our services to a wider audience. The results give an almost complete picture of the sensitisation status of patients.
Currently, there are only two multiplex allergy testing systems that allow analysis of a wide range of allergens – our proprietary 7DROPS technology, powered by MADx, and ImmunoCAP’s ISAC, which our founder Dr, Christian Harwanegg was instrumental in developing.
Testing nearly 300 allergens (178 of which are molecular allergens, 50+ unique to our product) from just 100 microlitres of blood serum or plasma, and 286 food antigens from just 10 microlitres of blood serum or plasma, 7DROPS is the undisputed leader in molecular immunodiagnostics.
